While an awning is a great addition to the façade of any building, it is particularly well suited to the needs of a restaurant. Providing comfort to the patron’s of a restaurant, the right awning can also function as an advertisement, attracting attention to your establishment and bringing new customers in the door.
Whether you are installing a new awning or replacing a current one, there are a variety of factors to consider when choosing the right awning for your restaurant. Some of the major points are outlined and explained below.
Materials and Framing
The first decisions that must be made when choosing an awning for your restaurant are what material to use for the awning, and how you would like the awning to be framed. There is an incredible range of awning styles available, but deciding on a fabric and a framing system will begin to narrow your selection to the most relevant and appropriate ones.
Material. Restaurant awnings are available in a variety of materials, but the most popular choices are metal and fabric.
Metal: Stylish yet timeless, metal awnings are becoming increasingly popular for restaurants as well as other establishments. They project a certain elegance that cannot be matched by other materials. Metal awnings, often constructed from aluminum or copper, are sturdier than other awnings, making them a sound investment for your business. Fabric: Canvas, acrylic, and vinyl awnings are some of the most common and widely seen restaurant awnings. These fabrics come in an array of colors and patterns, allowing for a customizable and unique design. However, the weather poses some challenges for fabric awnings, so it is best to go with a layered awning constructed from UV-resistant and water repellant fabric to extend the life of a fabric awning.

Framing or Assembly. The framing, also referred to as the assembly, for your awning depends on the location and structure of the building that houses your restaurant.
Stand-Alone: If there is sufficient space on the property, a stand-alone awning can be the perfect solution. Simply framed and easily installed, this type of awning offers great versatility for a restaurateur. Attached: For other structures, an awning that is affixed to the building in some way is the best choice. This type of framing is often more stable in inclement weather. Awnings that are attached to the building come in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit your needs and project the right image for your restaurant.
Whatever options you chose, you can’t go wrong when adding an awning to your restaurant. Your current customers will enjoy the comforts it provides while the new customers it attracts will be glad they found you!

Bird Control, It’s not Just for the Birds
Bird control is for home and boat owners, property and city managers, architects, churches, sports fans at ballparks, the list goes on and on. Basically it’s to keep our structures and statues clean and sanitary by safely discouraging our fine-feathered friends from landing, pooping and nesting on our prized possessions, including our food. While birds destroy many worms and insects that infest orchards, blackbirds and starlings will attack apple orchards and peck holes in apples just as they be

Pigeon Control, You Can’t Just Wing It
When it comes to pigeons and the problems they’ve caused, we should probably begin with a big mea-culpa, pigeons were the first bird species domesticated by man over 5,000 years ago. Eventually, they grew in mass numbers, feeding off grain stores and pooping on statues. Environmentalists came to their defense and it seemed mankind has lost its battle with the indefatigable pigeon until a whole new industry emerged—pigeon control.
